Dawn Higgins, DPT, RKT, brings over 16 years of hands-on experience in rehabilitation and therapeutic services. She began her career supervising and actively guiding patients toward their health goals in a post-physical therapy rehab center and spent three years teaching aquatic therapy for the Arthritis Foundation. Dawn went on to serve as Director of Outpatient Physical Therapy at Rancho Physical Therapy in Escondido, CA, and as a staff Physical Therapist at AllStar Physical Therapy.

Since 2015, she has led the Orthopedic Physical Therapy program at the Intrepid Spirit of Excellence on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, supervising a full rehab team and collaborating with physicians and specialists to treat wounded warriors and special operators recovering from traumatic brain injuries and blast-related trauma. Dawn specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation across the lifespan—working with patients as young as 12 through those in their nineties—as well as helping active-duty service members return to duty and support others transitioning to civilian life.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Dawn is passionate about patient education and empowering individuals to meet their personal health and wellness goals. Outside the clinic, she loves the outdoors, enjoys spending time with animals, and has dedicated decades to community and mission work alongside her husband of 25 years.
