Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Therapy at OPTI

Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Therapy at OPTI

Have you ever noticed how much you use your hands in a normal day? Now imagine not having the use of one of your hands for regular tasks. It’s a daunting thought, but a reality for people who suffer an injury or dysfunction to the upper extremity. At OPTI, we have a team of hand and upper extremity specialists that know just how imperative “normal” hand function is to quality of life. Whether the goal is to get back to work, return to an active lifestyle, or pursue a passion again, our hand therapists at OPTI can help you get back to everyday living on your terms.

Our Hand Therapy Team:

We have two excellent Hand Therapists at OPTI:

Jennifer, MOTR/L, CHT

Jennifer is a Registered Occupational Therapist with a Certification in Hand Therapy. She has been on our team at OPTI since 2018. Before joining our staff, Jennifer earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy Degree from Eastern Washington University and gained valuable experience in the OT field in Spokane. Her experience working with an emphasis on hand therapy as well as the injured worker population before coming to OPTI made her a valuable asset to our team.

Jennifer’s goal with each upper extremity patient she treats is returning to meaningful daily activities. With her wide knowledge of upper extremity rehab techniques, Jennifer aids patients in their road to an improved quality of life.

Megan, OTR/L

Megan has been on staff since February 2021 as an Occupational Therapist. However, she was a valuable member of our staff before joining the Occupational Therapy team as an OT/PT technician while completing her degree from Eastern Washington University’s OT program. While in the program, she not only gained hours of patient experience at OPTI, but earned a 4.0 GPA and the award of “Outstanding Student in Occupational Therapy.”

Megan does not only bring a wealth of knowledge and amazing education to the Hand Therapy team, but also a passion for seeing patients become well again. Megan takes great care in creating a treatment plan that reflects the goals and lifestyle of each individual patient she sees. With a special interest in activity modification (finding ways to adapt daily life or desired activities of the patient to improve performance and participation) as well as fabricating custom splints, Megan helps a wide range of patients. She is currently pursuing the Hand Therapist Certification.
